Broken Umarex Beretta M92A3 BB

Hey guys,

In celebration of the holiday tomorrow I went out and shot a few air guns at a soda can and one of the guns was a Umarex Beretta M92A3 (tan select fire blowback BB gun).

I shot maybe 3 or so mags, changed out CO2 like normal, went to shoot another mag and in the middle it started leaking from the black rectangle here

Any chance to fix it? Looks like just some pins to take it apart.

Warranty long gone and I've had like a whole bottle of BBs through it over the past couple years. Yes I put a drop of Pell Gun Oil every CO2.

Mags are like $50 so if there is a part to fix this I'd prefer that but may have to just get a new mag.. What do ya think?

Yeah the square part is where it is leaking out of. I'll try removing the pins and seeing what its like on the inside. I hope it is just an O ring in there, but I'm doubtful since it is a square! lol. In the meantime I've been looking around for parts and ended up on eBay finding a whole new magazine shipped by an Umarex licensed repair guy for $36 so I gave that a go.

Wow that does seem like a busy schematic. However it looks like mine!

I decided hey its broken I guess I'll disassemble cause what harm can I cause.

Here is the mag in the gun but slide pulled back20230705_172257.jpg
Then slide and me pointing to where it goes (other square)

So I took apart the mag feed lip:

Then the valve

Then sorry bad photo but inside here is where that out of focus O ring was under the valve

Then here is the valve depressed

So I flipped that skinny o ring over and screwed it all back together. Didn't seem to change the noise of the leak or where it was.

I'm wondering if it is the seat of the valve leaking. Looked dirty. I tried getting a paper towel in there to wipe it but probably need a different method since afterwards it leaks still.

I'm not sure how to disassemble the valve further.

sometimes the why you have a CO2 leak is never found because they can be very small and you chase your tail been there done that
Q-tips can be a good cleaning tool with a little rubbing alcohol
and i agree you cannot break what is already broken
there is a trick about complicated anything
take it apart a little and put it back together and after you go farther and farther you become an expert but will you solve the leak problem only time will tell
so, good luck

Thanks for the reply! I've done way more complex disassembly processes before (changing out spark plugs on a Toyota 2GR-FE for example, man that was a lot of wires, hoses, bolts and clips to get room to pull the rear 3 in my Highlander! Plus then doing all shocks/struts/ball joints while it was apart etc)

But it's the knowledge before doing the disassembly like you say. Like for this leaky magazine, sometimes knowing Hey this spring will fly across your room if you don't take apart "this way" is great to know, ya know, learn from other people's mistakes haha

I have a feeling this is either the dirt stuff around the valve piston or that little O ring in there however the ring didn't look torn to me. So I'll try that Q tip method! Thanks!
