Browning Buckmark URX Short review

I've got one.
The trigger on mine is fine. A little high in pressure, but smooth and a nice quick let-off. No creep, no grittiness at all. Probably about a 4lb pull on the trigger.

I don't care for the hinge design. Seems that it could have been done a lot better, without spending much more money.
But yeah, mine, anyway is overall, a nice gun for the cost.

It seems to be the luck of the draw...
I like my Buck Mark, but the Beeman P17 that I bought, that everyone thinks is a great pistol, to me is junk. The overall frame/grip is fine, but the mechanical end is garbage. The trigger in all accounts is terrible. Long, hard, gritty pull, with a nondescript wall for the second stage let-off.
I took it apart, did some grinding, filing, polishing. Better, but..! I guess it'll always just be a $40 gun !

P.s. - I just watched the video.
I agree with most of what he said...EXCEPT... His comment about the "Cross Bolt" button safety behind the trigger..!!??
It's not...a safety !! It's the "magazine release" on the real (.22 firearm) Buck Mark ! Then in the next sentence, he mentions the safety again. Yes, the only moving lever on the left side of the gun, is, the safety release, which automatically goes on when cocking. You must release it to fire the gun.

As I noted above, I don't find the trigger to be a problem. Yes, it's not a "target" trigger. It only has a single stage to it, but it is crisp, and has a quick let-off. It does take a little more pull than many guns take, but I know of a couple that require even more...pressure to pull the trigger. But you know exactly, when it will release. It's not vague at all.

It's just a plinker, not a hunters gun. I found it to be superior in most ways to the Beeman P17 that I have.

Crazy how the trigger is poor on this. The Buckmark 22lr pistols generally have good triggers in them, but I guess this is a much lower price point, so understandable.
Mmm, compared to some...the trigger is NOT that bad ! Being a little higher in lbs. to fire doesn't make it bad. Long pulls, gritty pulls, no stage wall, THOSE are things that make a poor trigger. The Buckmark has none of those "fine" attributes !

As I stated, it is MUCH better than the Beeman P17 that I bought !
