BSA Gold Star "Union Jack" in .177, ongoing review

What

I mounted a new hawke 6-16x50 with eagle vision infinity rings on it today and it zeroed in 2 shots at 25 yards so you may be right! It’s been tuned with jsb 10.34’s and has a huma reg in it and the huma shroud. It’s a shooter for sure!!!
The BSA performed stellar and the Hawke 4-16x50 is perfect for a beginner - flat shooter from 20 through 40 running air arms 10.3’s at 856 fps.

Redesigned Great in depth review thus far.

I don't want to jack your thread but I just got the R10TH Nutmeg in .177 about the same time you got the Union Jack, basically the same guns.

I worked with it in stock form for a week or so and decided to replace the regulator with the Huma, I also have an R10MKII in .22 that is just bitchin' and it has the Huma as well..

Since replacing the stock reg I have found some interesting results that you might try.

I left the Huma as it came from the factory and shot damn near every pellet you did with about the same mixed results until I tried the Redesigned JSB 13.43's , man I have to say I hit it right on the money with those, current set up is shooting consistently between 875 and 877 fps with an occasional 880 in there ..

It took a little time over the chrony and playing with hammer spring adjustment to really zero in on it to get those consistent numbers , I am Very happy with the accuracy and I am still getting 40 + good shots per fill..

You might give the 13.43's a try and see what you get ..

Here is my gun

I just wanted to revive this thread as it is one of the best working write ups on a airgun i have ever read....!
I agree, So much so I am the one who bought the gun. Sadly, I shot it in a match up north in the rain and the bluing did not fair well. I wiped it off immediately after the match but it still rusted. So it has been handed off to AZrover for repairs and possibly a small tune increase. I am looking forward to getting it back.

Interesting.... wondering if the bluing was just not applied correctly? Both of mine do fine in the rain.
I added Huma regs and Huma shrouds to both of my goldstars - mousefart quiet. I then had Motorhead do his magic to both of them at the same time - keepers for sure.
