BSA goldstar se 10 shot "new" with a little problem

have a new goldstar se 10 shot mag , i have a issue with it that the ball for the bolt ball dent is rolling on the shaft too hard , , i took the gun apart some what but couldent find the magic bolts that hold the action on to the tube . Do i need to degas it and remove the tube reg n valve to get to it ? if i can get to it im pretty sure i can fix it , i dont feel like mailing it out If Motor head or any one knows where the bolts that hold the action on to the tube is , how to get to it " id love to hear . thanks

Not sure if there's a reg on those. The typical SE or Ultra has no reg. They are not easy to work on IMO and I've done a ton of work on them.

You have to remove the bolt handle from the back including remove the top screw above the rear scope rail area. Once the bolt handle is out, there's a plastic internal sleeve that sort of slides backward and exposes the hole in the top of the receiver through which you can see down to the one screw which holds the receiver to the tube. You don't have to remove the barrel. It's tricky to slide back that plastic part to expose the hole - it's basically a cover which looks like black metal and is meant to hide the action screw as well as guide front of the bolt. There are a few balls in there, and a micro spring, one for the bolt detent and one for the from mag release button. I would do it over a white towel to catch those things and reassemble upside down using thick lube to hold the springs and balls in their spots while trying to get the tube back situated. There are way simpler AGs out there but I love BSA's so much that I keep buying and working on them.

I think the hidden bolt you are mentioning is under this front hole. There is a plastic collar that slides back revealing the bolt.

Also, don’t try and force, pull the transfer port out. It is held in by the mag release.

I love the bsa guns but they are not the most straight forward design. Once you know them they are easy.

the shaft that the bolt handle bolts to looks to be in my way , the bolt shaft pulls the hammer back with it , so it wont come out the back and doesnt look like it will push foreward if i remove the bolt handle from the shaft ,
