Just received this beauty. A BSA Scorpion .22 cal. Don’t know the age but she’s in great shape. 
Had to read the manual to jack it. 
Needs a new breach seal but still shoots great. Crow

Haha, thanks Jeff, you might have something there. I bought those when having an out of body experience. I think you and my sub conscience are on the same wave length. I saved up my money and bought a new one as a kid in the early ‘80’s. Still have it though it hasn’t been shot in decades, I always thought it would be cool to have a rifle stock made for it for a short springer rifle. Maybe one day I will do it.
the one thing about the Scorpion there are parts in the UK at Knibbs cheap
the Scorpion piston has one of the best triggers you will find and as an owner the most complicate lash up you will ever see
the piston seal is straight forward until you have to change the piece behind the head and then you will scream bloody murder getting the clip off
i do believe it is a pistol that needs to be owned and yes i rebuilt mine

I was shooting mine just yesterday, its a .177. They are a lovely pistol, good trigger, not bad accuracy. I find with this gun I get better accuracy with the butt rested, which is a bit different. I see you also have the cocking aid, which I find is really a help with this gun, its pretty hard cocking without. There was some jabber over on Airgunforums UK the other day talking about the price of a cocking aid (if you can even find one) being over 150 GBP!!

It’s funny you say that because I just grabbed the gun, tried to jack it, thought it was seized. Read the manual and realized the cocking aid. Night and day difference. Crow

for the owners of the Scorpion the gold lettering can be redone with a Gold tire pen you find on Ebay
fill in the Scorpion and let set overnight clean extra with rubbing alcohol if good you are done if not another coat
