BSA single shot tray

I'm guessing that this plate could just be removed, but haven't tried it.
The single shot tray I've been using dead-ends against this plate to ensure alignment of the pellet with the barrel, so, it's easier to leave the plate on, at least with my current fix.

The plate can be removed, no problem with that, but, you are right, both the magazine and the regular single shot tray use it as a stop.
My problem is that I have a huge side parallax wheel and it interferes with them both, so, in order to can use the wheel I need to load from the right.

Another idea would be a "T" shape. The long end of the T would have the hole for the pellet and the short sections, or wings, could index on the sides of the breech. Would require some specific measurements, but doable. That would be from the right side with the plate removed.
I've seen guys cut sections out of their sidewheels but that would only work in certain instances where the single shot tray or mag isn't sticking out enough to obstruct the rotation of the wheel, and you just need a section of wheel removed to allow insertion of tray/mag.

I made this 2 shot slide loader for a customer a while back but never released it for sale. The fit is quite specific to the stock. shown on a MK2.

Here is a shortened version. I don't think I can make it any narrower without it becoming very loose to use.
The loader slides left and right and has two loading holes. There is an o ring to retain both pellets. The stock must be removed to remove the right hand magazine locating plate. A magazine can still be used without the plate
