She's loving shooting, want to get her something that fits. Anyone know the length of pull on this gun? Now I have to get a BSA ultra to shoot with her.

Mine has quite a variance in vertical because of the small reservoir and lacking a regulator. Basically 1" vertical shifting per fill at 25Y. For plinking and a kid shooting it it'd be fine though. That being said it's very precise, it'll put in some small groups for one magazine's worth before it shifts. I'll tell you one thing though - if I had this rifle when I was a kid, compared to what I had 50 years ago, I would have felt like I was in paradise!!!

@peep was thinking the same for my two kids. Looking at it, thought it's pretty damn expensive (vs say a (Benjamin)mrod rigged for a short LOP). But in the end it's a quality product out of the box that they can pass it on to their kids, etc... I think. Lol.

Based on where things stand today along w/price increases/currency and exchange rates... CLX won't be $799 vs Ultra SE today. Just a thought.

I put a reg in my Ultra SE. Don’t feel like typing a paragraph if you don’t even have the gun yet. Is it worth it? Hell yes it is. I haven’t seen that gun in 2 years. My dad flat out assumed ownership of it. If you get one, pm me. I’ll give you the details about mine. Briefly, it shoots 8.4’s at 830fps for a lot of shots. Accuracy is exceptional.

Thanks @vetmx. Will def reach out for your expertise on it. Grabbed the synthetic stock version today. (At same time also saving for the walnut-stock, new CLX. So see how things go may end up making this ULtra SE a project piece.)
JSR is def on the radar for the immediate future. Prices are just going to go higher... is it worth more than the $699 price (12ft/lb) today... imo not really. Get what you can get now I suppose.

Just wanted to comment on the accuracy of those BSA .177 barrels. Very, very, very accurate/precise barrels! I shot a Gold Star as a review gun for 6-8 weeks and was amazed at how it shot the whole time.
Another plus for this particular line of BSA guns is that they're fairly robust in term of build and how that relates to maintaining their point of impact. Little anecdotal story to support that.....airgun buddy bought a Gold Star after hearing me rave about their accuracy. He fell asleep on the way home from a ft match and rolled his car. The Gold Star was in a soft case and washing machined around the interior with him. When the soreness wore off a bit and he got to feeling well enough to care (week later or so), he got the Gold Star out and it shot to the same place as before, didnt need any zero adjustments!!!

I didn't put a reg in it. If I were to keep it I'd probably do that plus a longer tube. Doesn't matter at this point because I ordered a Thomas that I'll be using for PFT and FT which will negate needing this gun. At this point it's just a plinker to me and I've got the poi shifts figured out enough to hit a 3/4" KZ a fair amount of the time at 25Y.

Another cool youth rifle to consider is the Evanix AR6K. LOP is 14” compared to BSA at 12”. From watching the review, it can shoot close to 1/4” groups at 50 yards. It is more powerful at 30 ft. lbs. So if your niece is shooting in a suburban backyard it’s probably not the best option. On the flip side, because it’s more powerful it shoots slugs as good as it can shoot pellets. With the pellet shortage we’re experiencing you don’t have to wait for pellets to be in stock, NSA slugs always seem to be in stock and they’re decently priced. I also think it looks better than the BSA. It can also be shot as a semi auto with its double action trigger, although that might be a little difficult for your niece.
