BSA BSA Ultta MMC. Outdated odd duck or just cool?

Was this the one recently on the auction site? I had to throw my wallet in the pool to keep from doing something stupid. Haha
Yes, Gunbroker.com
I saw it, knew I had to own it.
Got the Falcon Hawk FN-19 and the Duk IL Arms Hunting Master AR6 pistol too.

Every oring came out in pieces.
All fixed up and 900FPS with Crossman 14.3gr

I believe this is the first version of the Ultra.

It's COOL

love that version.... always have. Years ago, I visited a buddy in Arizona and due to the time difference and jet lag, I was up very early every morning. A real treat for me each morning was taking his Ultra out and sitting on the back deck, having a grapefruit from the tree, and plinking off English sparrows in his yard.

Micro-Movement Cocking (MMC). I loved my Ultra. It was compact, handy and very accurate. One cool feature concerning the MMC system; you could load a pellet while hunting and the PCP wasn’t cocked. You see quarry, shoulder the BSA cocking quickly with your foregrip hand and smack! Very efficient!

BSAs are good PCPs. I have a .177 Gold Star now which has a great bore. Much respect for the BSA PCPs.

Old school cool right there. I prefer the look of the Ultras with the little can on them, but that's a personal preference. I've got a BSA Techstar I got from Cecil Whitesides estate auction some years back. I think the Techstar was the original 'inexpensive' PCP back in the day. I remember when they were on sale for $199 at Compasseco.
The Tech star was my first pcp. Eventually traded for the updated Sportsman HV, and you gifted me a carbine barrel so I could shroud it and keep the oal short.

I'd say we've been doing this airgun thing for a minute or two lol -

I do recall that, sir!! I had the carbine and wanted a full size...haha We've definitely been in it a minute. I wanted to snag one of those TechStars from Compasseco and didnt. Finally got the chance to get one at the auction (sad affair). Funny to me the friends we meet in this world who we never meet in person!
