Budget compressors

Yong heng is pretty much it. But have to do your homework to ensure your are getting a real one. Lots of clones out there.

I don't know if it is considered budget compressor.. but around 6-8 years ago I got a Omega trail charger from AOA and it's been flawless.. only turned down the grease pot once a year.
possibly not considered budget, I don't remember the price but just working with no trouble and not having to buy multiple times could be considered budget.. hopefully buy once and get good life from it.

I have the Omega Charger and the Omega Trail Charger. Great equipment, no issues. The Trail Charger is awesome, very portable.

If I was in the market for a compressor I would research these guys. They seem to have a good track record and blatantly copied the Omega Trail Charger.

A friend had two of them. As I recall they lasted about ten minutes.
I know pumping air isn’t cheap. And everyone has a budget. I’m not wealthy by any means but bought an Alkin to avoid a lot of compressor issues.

Here’s what I’ve learned/read on AGN.
Needless to say, from reading on AGN, many have had good results with a wide range of compressors.
Spend as much as you can on a compressor.
Here’s a tongue in cheek list of things I’ve seen on AGN.

1. What is the cheapest import PCP compressor I can buy?
2. I ordered the cheapest import compressor on the web.
3. Wish me luck on the cheapest imported compressor on the web.
4. The cheap import compressor I bought isn’t working. Need help.
5. Anybody know where I can get tech support for my cheap compressor?
6. Anyone know where I can get parts for my cheap compressor?
7. Are there YouTube repair videos for my cheap compressor?
8. My cheap compressor is running very hot. What’s wrong with it?
9. My cheap PCP compressor burned up. What compressor is one or two steps up from the cheapest PCP compressor on the web?

Gx line of compressors. I have the cs2 and it is almost two years old. Parts are available. You can buy the whole piston assembly and seals for like 50 dollars. Easy to change.
I have the same one and it will fill my GK1 to 300 bar. Been trouble free for 2 plus years.

I purchased the C3 direct from GX based on ease of maintenance and repairs. 1900Colt has good videos. But be extra patient should you purchase a GX.... their promised delivery date is not accurate by a long shot and you may end up waiting a week or more more than expected. Annoying, but likely a small price to pay for something which spare parts are available.....Good luck!

I'm curious about the double battery one for in the field and backup.. do you know anything about it? is it a decent one? still love my Omega trail charger though..
thank you

I use one myself.
The compressor is the exact same thing as the cs2, cs3, cs3-i, etc. The EL3 does have an internal filter, and auto stop, and burst disc protection. It does not have the safety valve seen on the cs3 models.

Batteries are inexpensive Makita batteries.
