Budget end field binos?

I have had a pair of 8x42 Celestrons Trailseekers for almost 10 years - they have been a good pair and have had a lot of use and abuse in scouting and hunting. They have a 10x42 version for $199 now on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B73JNV6/ref=nav_signin?ie=UTF8&th=1

Several of my family have had good luck with the Vortex Diamondback binos, usually find them around $200.

To be honest, you need to personally check out each pair !! Years back, I went to a gun show and a fellow had a large display of Simmons binoculars, mabey 200 plus pairs! I ask if I could look thru a bunch of them and would take care to repackage them as new. I spent almost two hours looking thru them, mounted a small business card about 40-50 yards away to read the tiny print. A friend pointed out that reading small print will really show up the clarity of the lenses!! You would be surprised at how many would not focus enought to read that business card!! But...I did find a pair that would focus perfectly! And I bought them...about 75 bucks at that time and I gave the guy an extra 20 for allowing me to sort thru them....
When I bought my spotting scope from Cabelas, they had business cards stuck on the upper level in the store to use there spotting scopes on. Looked thru numerous Leupold, Zeiss, and other premium models, but ended up with a Burris, because I could read the small print better at the same mag setting than the other high end scopes !! Bottom line is...go where you can look thru them, not all are the same, even the same make and model are different. Shop carefully and be sure to take a card with small print on it to compare !! Good luck!
