I'm considering a Firewalker special with shortest barrel possible that would be custom fit just past two side by side tiny bottles , but I would never be able to sacrifice my barrel I have now as the accuracy of it it just amazing. I read somewhere that the competitive shooters never clean their barrels , and nothing has been down my Zelos barrel except Apolo slugs , and pellets. I was also informed by reading that the alloy compesition of different manufacturers is an important part of lubercation to the barrel , so I gathered hard alloys don't lube as well as softer ones , and I'm talking about the natural lubercation properties of lead. I don't know for sure , but I think Apolo uses a very soft alloy , and I read Zan's are rather hard , but don't know how accurate this statement is.I thought the Zelos was light because Pyramyd Air erroneously says it weighs just six lbs but it actually weighs closer to seven. I need to get a lighter scope than the Aim Sports Alpha 6 4.5-27x50 I have on mine. That combined with the heavy-azz Huben Cricket Bottle Regulator and 580cc CF Bottle have pushed total weight to almost 11lbs.
