Budget (YH Like) Compressor Tips Compilation and experiences

Wonder how good this add on will work on this compressors

US $143 35%OFF | Aquarium chiller Small and medium fish tank silent electronic refrigeration thermostat Aquarium cooling and cooling machine

I want to make a stationary filling station, this might be the one (of many) solution for cool water

Got a new compressor! looks much better than the YH (but very similar)...first impressions Quieter (a lot), temp stay down on 45 Celcius, digital display (really love that!). Shipping was really fast (10 days) ... total in Chile (for US usually is cheaper) US$380 (I did not pay a dime extra, got lucky no taxes)... so far so good...fill 6.8L SCBA from 190 to 300bar in 15m, 10 minutes pause, and then a 9L SCBA from 180 to 300bar in 30 minutes.

Only time will tell...if fails my next purchase will be a Coltri/Daystate

Link for it?

I was pretty much sold on the Omega Trail Charger but the lack of any "real" reviews gave me pause. While waiting for reviews (AEAC has the Trail Charger), I looked again at the Yong Heng hardback models and the Tuxing models. Most of the people that have them seem to like them and most of the reported problems seem to stem from overworking / maintenance issues (no offense meant to anyone whose unit crapped out). The Tuxing is the better design for heat control and rebuild whereas the YH hardback has a better handle on removing moisture and more parts availability. The four most common complaints I have read about are piston head cracking (first stage), relay burning up (autostop versions), pressure gauge breaking and difficulty in replacing second stage piston seals (YH units - Tuxing uses split rings). The compressor that Edosan has shared seems to be a cross between the Yong Heng and the Tuxing using the better parts of both designs while adding in a better pressure gauge and readout to boot. I am adding this one to my list for concideration.

@joer Looks the same, still believe the manufacturer is the one I add. Is the biggest in China, and they do not sell direct (so that tells you something) usually direct sales are not from manufacturers (of course exemptions exist)

@heggie the beauty of all is you can choose all this compressor types are similar. Having both, I prefer the yellow

Edosan, Does your compressor have adjustable shut off pressure? Is it digital and is it accurate? Do you think that parts are interchangeable with Yong Heng? Thanks

Yup it has, YouTube "digital pcp compressor" several videos. And yes is accurate you can set from. 10 bar up to 300

Parts probably most, but not sure really.

But remember, my experience with it is very limited

I do not know the diameter of the 2nd stage piston but say it is .35 in. At 4500 psi it would be subject to about 433 lbs, not 4500. J

Even at 433 pounds it is still enormous force hammering down on the center of the piston 3600 times a minute. And no telling what the piston is cast out of. Could be recycled cans for all we know.

Also I'm not sure that the force applied to the piston would not be equal to the pressure in the upper cylinder and since the upper piston is smaller than 1 inch the concentration would be higher not lower.
