Tuning Built a moderator for the Zoraki

The gun already had the threaded barrel on it so it was begging me to put on a moderator.

I had some 25mm carbon fiber tube, left from a purchase made years back, and a piece just the right size left over from the 600 moderator I made a week or two back. So I just turned down a couple pieces of Delrin and there it is. Took two tries though cuz I tried to recycle some old Delrin parts and they did not werq out. Anyway I still have to get some new epoxy though as the stuff I used on the 600 is still a little tacky a week later. Although it was a new and unopened package from some years back.😳

Sounds like it was easy and a few years back I would have had it done in less than an hour. But not so capable these days and it took half the day. Still I did finally get it finished except for the gluing yet to come. I shot prototype one moderator, the one I messed up and it was very quiet. So I know It's going to be nice.

Nice job, my P2 kind of the same gun but mine is not have threads . I may be able to find the correct size tube to glue it into the mussel , looks like there’s a 10mm od and around 15mm of gluing surface. That gives me a start. Where did you find the plastics and or carbon fiber? I have various junk parts just not quite the correct one.

I would order the GENUINE Crosman 2240 XL or Benjamin Maximus HUNTER threaded barrel adapter and mod it to fit. Purchased direct from Crosman.

I found the Delrin at Online Metals, they sell small quantities, and eBay for the 25mm carbon fiber tube if memory serves cuz I got it years ago.

The adapter on the gun is actually threaded directly to the skinny little barrel and has the standard 1/2x28 threads on the other side. It is a pretty nice little unit.

Nice work! That’ll be a nice addition for anywhere, indoors especially not that they were overly loud.

Glad to see you utilize the adapter. I really hoped I was doing you a favor sending them your way as that .22 was the one and only I could find when I looked years back. Of course six days after they hit your doorstep they start to resurface new and in the ultra configuration... I searched for all I was worth for a shoulder stock at the time I snagged the .22

Not overly loud with one pump but more than I like with two. Yes, pretty insane that they became available again a few days after I purchased your guns. I really did not Need more but I just had to get the Ultras. Thanks for the guns I have been enjoying them allot. They helped adjust my attitude a bit also. Shooting with one pump is easy and the arms really appreciate it.
