Burst disc ?

Burst disc are wear-and-tear item. They don't last for ever.

Burst discs, also known as rupture discs, can wear out due to a number of factors, including:
  • Pressure cycling: Operating conditions that cause pressure spikes can lead to metal fatigue, which can cause the disc to burst at a lower pressure than its marked limit
  • Low burst pressures: Low burst pressures can also cause problems for this disc technology
  • Corrosion or abrasion: Material degradation due to these factors can cause a rupture disc to need to be replaced yearly

I have a small 4500 psi CF Ninja tank .it had about 3500 psi in it.i hadn't used it in weeks and when I went to fill it it was empty. I thought I'd kdft the valve cracked but upon hooking it up to my Omega it was the 5k disk had failed, air was streaming out.. Is this something to worry about or common? I've installed a new 5k disc but yet to refill.
A 4500 PSI system uses 7.5k discs, not 5k. It's a 5/3 factor.
