Bushbuck 45 appreciation thread: Post Pictures

This is odd. Are there really not many owners of this rifle on AGN? I’d like to know more about it from experienced hunter that have used this platform. I find it hard to show appreciation for a gun that I know little about. I’ve watched several videos on them, but haven’t found a whole lot. 10 lbs and 51” is a hefty rifle, but the claim of taking any animal in North America and non-dangerous African big-game animals is intriguing.

I agree. Considering the price point of these weapons, more information would be nice.
I would like to hear about some real-world hunting scenarios and how it performed.
I do not consider you tube, "real world".
Even the descriptions on their website and the descriptions on the air gun sites are very limited.
I see there is a carbine model now. Lower energy specs but nothing on accuracy.

Doc.

I had this one for awhile but sold it and got a XP Ranger 452 but the Bushbuck was a good shooter just wanted something different.

bowhunter.
that is a nice looking weapon.
How was the accuracy? Usability?
I am considering the carbine. I do not need 150 yards + just 75 yards or less.

thanks

Hey Doc
It is a really nice rifle and like you I don't need a long distance rifle 100 yards about tops and the range I shot at only went to 100 it would consistently put 2 shots in a 2" bullseye target at 100 when I did my part, I thought it a little heavier than I like for carrying while hunting the carbine might be a little lighter not sure.

Wow. I really like that wooden stock. Is that the stock for the pictured bushpig?
I think I read somewhere that Western offered a nice walnut stock for the bushbuck. I wonder if that is available for the newer carbine?

Does anyone now what barrel manufacturer bush buck uses? I know its .451 16 twist chromemoly. I think the Bush buck has better barrels than most other factory big bore airguns. I
I sold mine to get the aea challenger bullpup. I wanted the 6 round magazine and bullpup configuration although the bushbuck could make 100-200 more FPE depending. View attachment 334071

Reading over some of these older Bushbuck threads. This one went nowhere concerning appreciation for the gun. Most guys seem to have sold theirs. To sell an Bushbuck for an AEA is not encouraging. I also found it odd that no Bushbuck owners reported good accuracy shooting slugs on low power. Is low power strictly for shooting air bolts?

What I have been unable to find is info on the barrel. I think I recall reading it’s a hammer forged barrel, but I do not know the twist rate. Does anyone have this information?

Pretty much the exact same info word for word with the exception on the variance between walnut and laminate stock.
