Bushnell tactical lrs 5-15x40 AO

I'd like to hear other people's opinions on this particular model please, preferably from people who own or have owned them.

What are your thoughts on the glass?

Is mildot dead? Particularly when it comes to Airguns, half MD seems the better choice!? But.. Is it?

Did they offer a 30mm option in this model (bushnell tactical 5-15x40 lrs)

When we're these made /discontinued?

JAP glass is nice.. This has it, what other scope would you recommend looking at that would at least match the glass quality on the bushnell or.. Better still surpasses it for the same cash!

This is entirely based on a hunter scope and will be used only for that purpose

I'd appreciate any feedback

Thanks!

I understand but; if by chance you're sticking with 1" due to no 30mm rings. I would give you a like new set of UTG PRO 30mm Dovetail ones.

They're not adjustable but hey, I need more of those myself.

I stuck to, and I'm keeping certain 1" tube scopes.

I realized that the SWFA, has so much elevation because it's a 30mm.

I was just looking at a Discovery with 100moa. Pretty good but I am so reticle picky now if a scope is on a dedicated slug AG, pellet, or all around pellet weight.
I prefer 2nd FP; but if I go with a FFP I want illuminated fine 0.1 mil/mil or 1/8"moa adjustable turrets. And windage tree is a must or might as well use the AMX reticle on Hawke or Discovery scopes.

These are excellent 1" for the price and in comparison. I've seen $399-$599 scopes that weren't as clear as the top Discovery scopes.
I LOVE Bushnell. I use to LOVE Hawke. Now, I just like them. I have a 5 year old 4-12x40 Airmax AMX & I would like it replaced as it's not working as well as it did. But my oldest son had bought it for me from Pyramyd Air.

I don't have proof of purchase besides his name. It was shipped directly to me. Maybe I'm covered. Bushnell is a no question asked policy.
Good luck with your scope. At least it's a great company if anything is wrong with it.

That is the best deal $248? For Japanese glass that's cheaper than the $699 SWFA SS 3-15x42. If the online 20% coupon discount code works it would be a real crazy deal. O got mine from SWFA for $299 and there are places selling this scope for $499 and even more than $600!!!

This is a fantastically clear scope for the money. I believe it may handle springers but don't quite me but does have a lifetime warranty.

I personally stopped buying more of that SWFA SS because of this specific JAPAN Bushnell mildot scope.

Thank you for sharing. It is worth buying and hate to admit it is even clearer than the Alpha6.

The Mildot is a 15x SFP and perfect IMHO. I compared it to my JAPAN side focus Elite 4500s and prefer this cheaper front focus scope to be honest.

If you liked the discontinued Bushnell Legend 5-15x40 SFP front focus AO scope this one will make you really happy.

You will be genuinely spoiled after looking through this scope. You would have to buy a $699 SWFA scope to get this level of bright and clear once all these are sold out.

If you seek wow factor brightness and clarity and a JAPAN scope with a lifetime warranty from a long standing company that appears to have very good turrets as well with a well thought out 15x Mildot reticle good for holdover then buy it.

Warning you are probably not going to want to buy any Chinese made scopes after this Japanese cheapie.

I like it better than my Bushnell Forge and that's a bummer!

In fact I received a 4.5-27x50 Bushnell Forge today (I have 2 of the 3-18x50 versions already that IMHO have MEH glass) and oddly this 4.5-27x50 versions glass looks yellowish when looking through and I don't know if it's a defect or all 4.5-27x50 Forge is like this one but it's not as crystal "white" bright (like a Leupold EFR picture white yup that's right!) and clear as the 5-15x40AO Mildot you are asking about.

I am pretty bummed because I paid more than $248 (or $200 If the online coupon codes work) for each of mine. I bought a lot of them not that long ago.

I would highly recommend them just based on the clarity and brightness and turrets and Japan made and lifetime warranty from a long standing company that just disappointed me on another one of their expensive Forge (China made) scopes.

Don't buy the Bushnell Forge I can't in good conscience recommend any of them.

I had one but sold it to a friend of mine who was into into .22 LRs.

It is a clear scope but the reticle is somewhat fat.

I was under the impression the lrs x15 jap aren't available anymore the 1" version?

Atleast here in the UK they aren't.

Yes the ret is quite thick, I think the purpose of the scope was for LR vermin shooting, great glass though and hard to find here 👊

New guy here and looking for a good scope. I’ve gotten a lot of great info from this sight and want to thank everyone.

Yo - I’m interested in the Bushnell Tactical and want to make sure I’m looking at the right model that you are referring to in this post. Could you possibly post any information that can help.

Thank you
