I keep a weather eye out for old made in Japan Bushnell scopes, I am shopping for my Hatsan Blitz and don't have the toy fund to support an optic at this time. I've been accumulating powder burners for 50 years now, no one would call it a collection, collections have themes. 
Guess what I found in the cabinet, Bushnell 2.5 X 8 42 mm it is a high end Bushnell and will do very nicely for the Blitz. Thanks to improvements in Multicoating primarily the new scopes are brighter. This old Bushnell is quality we don't see anymore.
Quick edit: SWEET, pulled the rings off, it's a Scopechief VI the nee plus ultra of the Bushnell line, BTW black magic marker perfectly matches the factory gloss finish. This one is going on my new Blitz. Another week or two, can't wait!
