FX Buy an impact m4 or wait for the m5?

The fx impact is the only gun that release a different model 1-2 years apart. It is the pcp airgun of Samsung and Apple phones lol. So the question is, buy the impact m4 now or wait 1-2 year for the m5? What features do you want to see in the m5?

Sorry but this gives me a chuckle as the m4 just came out. If you want an impact buy the m4. It would be silly to wait. It won’t be that much different whatever they do.

^This is the correct answer.^ You just keep waiting for the one that is the perfect iteration of the Impact knowing that whatever is coming next will be in some form or another an improvement. Twenty years form now you will still be waiting but look at all the money you saved and all the anticipation you got to enjoy.

There will have to be something groundbreaking, earth shattering, or game changing for me to buy anything M from them moving forward. My M3’s are as good as they can get. And they are far superior to the stock M4. And if I do to a M4 what I’ve done to my M3’s, it won’t be any better. Just newer. Or maybe day glow bronze.

I heard the M5 will be like other air guns with 1/2 or less Orings than the M4, With the decrease in Orings the dependability of the FX will be almost equal with the other high dollar PCPs , The warranty department will just about be shut down with the new improved M5, fifteen O-rings in the whole gun...

I've been following FX for a while and I can't imagine that the enhancements they made would hinder any performance or reliability in their most popular model. You could save a few hundred bucks and buy a less refined earlier version. But if I was to buy an Impact I'd want the newest version.

I would have to agree. The M3 is only selling for $200 less than the M4. For that measly savings... I would go for the 4.
