FX Buy an impact m4 or wait for the m5?

The fx impact is the only gun that release a different model 1-2 years apart. It is the pcp airgun of Samsung and Apple phones lol. So the question is, buy the impact m4 now or wait 1-2 year for the m5? What features do you want to see in the m5?

Fx impact
Fx impact X
Fx impact mk2
Fx impact m3
Fx impact m4
Fx impact m5?? Maybe 2025-2026.
Buy them all. That is the way.

Sometimes MORE is MORE sometimes LESS is LESS sometimes MORE is LESS and sometimes LESS is MORE! I've been following FX for a while and I can't imagine that the enhancements they made would hinder any performance or reliability in their most popular model. You could save a few hundred bucks and buy a less refined earlier version. But if I was to buy an Impact I'd want the newest version.
More is more.

And on and on it goes.....

Saw this on youtube. Fx impact m5 will get rid of the spring/hammer and go electronically hammerless like daystate. Rumors only so don't quote me. XD

Those threads you posted are about buying mk2, m3, or m4. This thread deal with buying the m4 now or wait for the m5. Completely different topic imo.

^This is the correct answer.^ You just keep waiting for the one that is the perfect iteration of the Impact knowing that whatever is coming next will be in some form or another an improvement. Twenty years form now you will still be waiting but look at all the money you saved and all the anticipation you got to enjoy.
And the savings in up grades would be amazing 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩.

Check out the dates.

They're simply examples of people having the same thoughts as you....wait for the next one or buy the current one. (There will always be a next one. )

I really messed up with my timings. Ive not owned an air gun in the last 20 years, I just kinda thought they were like toys basically, try not to shoot yourself in the eye and you'll be fine. I didn't understand how far they'd come until a chance encounter with a mate with a break barrel Gamo, then that led down the YouTube rabbit hole and I ordered a couple of m3's.

But unfortunately after several months YouTube research and jumping in at the deep end and buying two m3's and two thermal scopes, the m4 was announced lol

I decided to cut my losses, sell the m3's to two of my hunting buddies and just get a couple of m4's. **** it I know it wasn't particularly worth it, but I just want it. and putting 2 more high end guns in our hunting group is superb too.

Life is short, buy what you can afford / what you want right now. There's no point in waiting for something slightly better.

Received my new M4 last week, have never owned or handled any FX guns prior, so far i'm loving mine, first time owning FX and it has been a pleasure to play with and shoot. Buttery smooth side level reload action, super accurate, zero POI shift, no reg creep or air leak, so easy to tune to cover a wide range of pallets and slugs. it's a huge experience upgrade coming from Avenge X, Notos, and break barrel.

I ain't waiting for no M5 or M6, i wanted it NOW so i get to have fun NOW, not later. 😁

i just upgrade each time a new impact comes out and flip the old model

Is the m4 better than the m3? I think the undeniable answer to that is absolutely yes it is. Sure it might not quite have as new many features as some would have hoped for, but its better.

For me it was worth flipping the m3's and getting m4's. If the m5's are slightly better when they come out I'll do the exact same thing again. We use our guns pretty much daily to go out hunting. I'll happily buy an m4 for 2.2k euros, use it for 100's of hours out having brilliant fun then sell it for 1500e to put towards a very slightly better m5.
