Buying a new air rifle

I am looking to buy a new air rifle with a budget of 1500 pounds any suggestions i have been looking at the bsa r12 the fx maverick vp and the brk ghost would just like to know if there are any others i should be looking at insted.

hi i am currently target shooting but want to get into outdoor pest shooting dont really want an FAC and yes sorry forgot to add the £

Maybe talk to UK shooters , several have You Tube 's , Find what guns are best in your weather i believe you have a few models and brands that are not available here .

Amén, you've shops over there that have great bundle deals as well- places where you can handle the rifle (huge benefit!) , possibly get service post sales and insight on what is not only competitive for your price point, but as L3wis mentioned, built for your local weather.

Air Arms should be near the top if not at the top of your list in my humble--and American--opinion, for lots of reasons, including those articulated by Oakhonor.

I would add the RTI Prophet or Prophet II to the list. Also recommend handling any of them that you are interested in.

I like traditional type rifles with walnut stocks, like the Weihrauch HW100 and Air Arms 510, both of those appear to be popular "over there". Great quality accurate rifles.

The sub 12 BSA CLX Ultra would be the perfect pest rifle in your situation, I would think. You get the new and improved block in a short, light weight carbine, plus it's a BSA.
