Buying decision Weihrauch HW100 or the FX Dreamline, DonnyFL Moderator

I am trying to decide between these two guns and would like to get thoughts independent of a salesperson. Both are moderated and the price difference is $100 (Fx is more) so I doubt price would be much a deciding factor. The FX does seem to provide more flexibility in the future but from what I gather both are really well made.

I cant say as fare as comparing the two but i will say I have owned 5 FX air rifles and every one has been smooth as silk and a tack driver as far as accuracy. HW does make fine air rifles but the only one I have owned was a spring piston. GL what ever you decide and post some pics when you get it.

Thanks Sonny, I doubt folks will have anything bad to say about either. I should have mentioned that I would be using this almost exclusively for killing squirrels which have overrun my property. Sound level is definitely a major factor in the buying decision

I have an HW100 in .22, and it is a fine squirrel killer, and quiet. I've owned a couple of FX rifles, and I consider the Weihrauch the better rifle.

Both around the same accuracy the HW has anti double load mechanism so if you get the FX pay more attention don't double load by accident. FX Sweden 5 year warranty. HW Germany lifetime warranty. Of course if not tinkered with outside of normal adjustments as to not void their warranty.

Kinda tough choice, but if you want simplicity, accuracy, reliability and quiet shooting, go with the HW100. I have had mine for about 3 years now and still love it, almost boring to shoot it is so consistent. I have the laminate thumbhole with the 16 inch barrel with the old style moderator which makes it crazy quiet. It is a very popular pesting rifle in Europe, and for many, the gun of choice. Why not buy them both? :~) Either way, you probably can't wrong.

I had. 177 hw 100sk 12 fpe Excelent rifle for your purpose. I also had and still have few fx rifles. 

But i preffer weichrauch.

Easy decision here, buy BOTH in different calibers.

Theres a 177 HW100sk on the classifieds but am unsure if it's the 12fpe or full power version.
