N/A Bye Bye Scopes!

Day three with the contacts. I'm still getting used to the split prescription. One eye for near and the other for far. Don't ask me how it works but it does. I can actually see the sights on my P1 (HW45) clearly. Now I might be closer when I miss my target Lol. I have a love / hate relationship with that gun.

I can see the regular slights on my other guns better. In fact I removed the truglo front sight from my Hw30 because I can see the metal OE sight again. The truglo worked great and is still better for dim lighting but I don't like plastic parts on my Weihrauchs.

It's blowing hard today. When the wind drops I'll try some group shooting.

That's it for now.
Be well
Ron

Do not discard your scopes
My wife had the same cataracts as you and had the same lens put in
Your eyes will age, and you will need the scopes again
Sorry

Dennis don’t say that …….. so the cycle repeats if you live long enough 🤕.

I regularly shoot my RAW’s at 100 yards - so no intention of scrapping the scopes😉.

My eye surgeon says this is not so. Most likely my eyes will not change. In possibly 20 years I may get Stigmatism. This he says is easily corrected. Also, there is a slight chance of, some call it second stage cataracts. He says it’s not cataracts. Just scar tissue from the cataract removal that again is easily removed. He says that Cataracts do not grow back. I ask of lot of questions. Probably drives him crazy. My answer- short drive! But to your point. Anything can happen, so I’ll keep my scopes.
