What a great shooting facility. I love Morro Bay and the folks there. It was a good course set up and the wind was on que and made it so noone would clean the course. Lots of fun during the weekend. My purple Thomas and Kahles 10-50 scope were flawless as usual (me, not so, haha) Beautiful scenery and good old friends to hang out with in great weather. It was fun meeting Lou Ferrigno who took time out of his schedule to visit us shooters. He seemed like a great guy. Thanks again to all the Morro Bay guys who did all the work to set up the course, food, awards and drinks. See you next year. BC

Art Burciaga, a special thanks to you for your great support of the Match and a hearty thank you to the CASA Club, (Ron, John and Rick particularly) for being flexible enough to change your plans and allow the match to be held at the wonderful SLSBA facility. I think everyone (except Riz, god speed) had a fantastic time. We were all ready to get out and have fun among friends. Also thanks for having Lou stop by, everyone enjoyed meeting him.

Winds were probably the lightest we ever had for a GP match at this range. The average difficulty factor was not all that high but we did have a high standard deviation, so there were plenty of difficult targets. Bill Corder in PCP and Cameron Kerndt in Piston were standouts, shooting the best ever rifle GP scores at this facility. October was a good time of year to hold the match. Weather was pleasant, and no pesky bugs to deal with. FYI - I did the course spreadsheets for this match. :

Day 2, rifle match was similar difficulty to Day 1, but distances for most targets were slightly different.

Here is the pistol match layout:
