I accidentally dinged the stock of my AA S510XS, is there a way to fix this? It's not big and not real noticible, but I know it's there and it bothers me... Any advice on a way to reduce or remove a ding from wood would be appreciated! Thanks...

Yes you can fix it. Use a iron and damp cloth. You iron or steam the dent out. Check YouTube for videos. It’s pretty straightforward.

I also have had luck with Navyblue's solution. But it's easy to scorch if your iron is too hot. Try to simulate a ding on a scrap piece of wood before you do it on the stock

So, instead of an iron, can you use a hot air gun? Meaning, lay a damp cloth on the dented area and hit it with hot air instead of an iron. Just curious if that would be better with less chance of hurting hte finish?

What Navyblue said, also I use the blast of steam from the iron with a damp wash cloth, may take a few times and let it dry in between. If it dose not raise the first time you will need to sand off the finish on the dent. Wouldn't hurt to contact AA on what type of finish to apply when done good luck !

I’ve had good luck with an iron and damp cloth, you can concentrate on just that spot. It doesn’t take much at all, just a quick sizzle. I think a heat gun will be too broad, and may dry the cloth before raising the dent. It’s been done forever with furniture.

Wet cloth and tip of iron. You want the iron super hot so as soon as you place the iron on top the wet cloth it steams. Wait a few secs and lift it. Check the dimple.
After a few tries it will lift up, but won't be perfect. But it does work as I've done it numerous times on my stocks.

There you go. That really came out good. I knew about how to do that but I have never actually done it and wouldn’t be afraid to try it at all. I’m glad you showed the before and after pictures.
