I recently upgraded to a larger tank on my gauntlet .25 and I was wondering can I take my old tank into the field filled and screw it into the gun or will the pressure of the tank counteract with me trying the screw it in?
As soon as the pin or ball valve opens the threads will experience the force of 1900 PSI and it will lock right there. If you had enough rotational momentum before the valve opened you may open the valve enough where the airgun will work properly but if it only cracked the valve open, you may have to degas the tank completely in order to properly seat the tank which is obviously counterproductive.
