Can the bottle be longer than the barrel???

Serious question tho I agree it would look weird. Including any shroud still being shorter than the bottle length. Are there safety concerns.
I am looking at RTI p3 or 2 compact. Or a brk ghost compact.
With the bottle stored separate in the pack, a longer bottle would fit easily in the pack. But is there any danger of the pellet or slug hitting the bottle if it extends couple inches past the barrel???
I appreciate those knowledgeable helping me understand why I have not seen this in the wild. Thanks

As far as the RTI goes (I own a few) it won't hurt a thing to have the bottle longer than the shroud as long as it's close to the same diameter, screwed on snug and has no flex..
Gonna look goofy though..

No chance of a projectile hitting the bottle unless it hits something else first. Most concerns I've seen are for your hand. If you're holding the bottle like a forestock, a short barrel could allow your hand to become the target if it gets up in the way. A moderator on the end will solve that short barrel issue.

I had a 480 on my impact when it was a compact it was out farther than the barrel and just about even with koi moderator I had on the end

My 700cc tank extends about 1/4” ahead of my moderator on my WARP. I’m still up in the air whether or not I’m a fan of the looks. I love the shot count increase though. As long as I remember where the business end is in relation to my fingers, I’ll be good to go.

Yes it was.. the Photo was before it was anodized...
The chassis was custom made by 220Swift..
The enhanced receiver was machine by Gordon "gordy" Dawson...
This is the Aluminum version of the Chip Smith Titanium receiver I have in my sig

That's what I am talking about, an obvious size difference, not just half inch. 300 to 500 bottle or something like, I figured is quite a few inches.

Regarding the safety warnings from IRBent and Scott, a few years ago I tried unsuccessfully to remove my index finger with such an arrangement. I had a nice stable hold just prior to pulling the trigger but I missed my target badly. I won’t be trying that again.

Before I sold it, I did have the prod bullpup (beautiful in my opinion).
So I have had some experience being sensitive to hand position since there is basically 1" in front of trigger.
