Airgun Technologies Can the magpul dislodge the HW44?

Seems like a decent pistol, but at its performance level and price, will it overtake the HW44? I, personally, doubt it. The HW44, is the quietest outfit available, deadly accuracy. Just a PIA loading system and a LOUD safety! Why? Germans! , what’s the deal! Please my people, don’t over analyze it, and bring forth an easy loading system and a quiet safety. Nuff said.

The one thing I could never get my head around with the HW44 was the price for a plastic pistol, at least the AGT is a full metal build 🤷‍♂️
Have you held one in your hand? I read somewhere that Weihrauch put like a year of R&D with the HW44 and employed an ergonomics specialist to design the grip. It’s a ballistic polymer I believe similar to the Glock pistols.

Best to comment on a gun that has been owned and shot, rather than on what is read and heard about it. I own 2, and they are gems.

I own the HW44 and have for some time. I will say a couple things. Fastastically accurate. But to say they hired an ergonomics specialist to design the grip, Ummm maybe for some people but it is too small for my hands and very uncomfortable because the ergonomics specialist did not take into account that people come in different sizes.

The Ballistic polymer leaves me wanting to me looks like a toy gun, not impressed with the material at all and if you remove the grip it is hollow inside.
Pick up any Brocock like an Atomic and you will instantly feel the HW cut corners on material.
If the Atomic was priced better I would be all in on it.

Again fantastic accuracy, but I am considering the Manul because of some of the shortcomings of the HW.

I have large hands, have trouble finding gloves that fit and think the HW44 Grip is amazing. Designing a grip for all would probably be an impossible feat, sorry about your luck.

Glad it works for you.
My hand overlaps the palm rest at the bottom of the grip which is very uncomfortable and the finger grooves are too small for my hands.,

As I said previously very accurate and it is not fussy about pellets.

But if you hire an "ergonomics specialist" to design the grip keep in mind not everyone has the same size hand and make it a little longer.
And make the finger grooves wider so they do not press your fingers into the trigger guard.
They clearly targeted an average size hand with this trying to cover an average range.

Thanks for understanding that.
I just sold it to a friend and for him it fits fine.
Not fantastic but good enough.
But I have had the same issue before with grips that have palm shelves.
But with wood grips at least I can modify them to fit my hand.

And in the case of the Manul that started this discussion, I can buy an Ergo grip which I know works very well for my hand size.
Hopefully it is as accurate as HW44 but from AGT's reputation it should be.

If it is as nice as others I have discussed this with have said it will be a nice replacement for my HW44.
The only negative going in for me is that it the magazine is fixed and that even the retailer agrees would be nice to have changed.
