Can This Be Removed?

Do not take sandpaper or acetone or any other solvents to your HP air bottles, people. There are binders in the CF strands that the acetone may dissolve, and the sandpaper will likely abrade away some of the CF even if you are careful. You will have taken a lot of risk of weakening your bottle (albeit slightly, but that doesn't matter) for something so frivolous as removing a decal. One of the most ignorant suggestions I've ever seen posted here. Think it through.

And I too depise large ads like that. I would have returned it explaining that. Very tacky, and that vendor needs to rethink their business practices.

I had to look at that gun for a loooonnnnggggg time till I figured out its the logo on the tank causing this discussion....

The target doesnt care what your gun looks like......
I guess you wouldn't mind if you ordered a gun that was black and got shipped one in Pride colors instead because all that matters is if it shoots well.

I wonder how our guns would look with the pinup girls on them like the aircrafts did back in the day but on our airtanks.

I'm the guy that removes the dealer sticker from my new cars before I leave the car lot, so for me that GIANT advertisement would have to go.
As others have said, don't go at it with SP or solvents. I saw a wrap a few posts back that looks Ideal.
I guess if the addy was a little smaller and in subdued colors, it could likely stay. But as is? No Way.

Okay boys this wasn't to bash JB and I had mentioned that already this was a add on bottle that I had bought separately from another member I get why it's done I'm just not a fan of the option to not get it off. I did what I do to most of my bottles and wrapped it. I appreciate all the information. Let me know what you guys think now.

Good for you, personally I HATE obnoxious stickers especially advertisements but just my personal preference. Unless of course they pay me to use it but when I pay for something then it's MINE and no ugly stickers to advertise for anyone.

Can it be covered up? Obviously, but why should I need/have to?

For me I would not put any type of solvent on the resin, as it risks the chances of weakening the resin that holds the carbon fiber.

Exactly!! Just cover it but do not do anything to the surface. Covering it does 2 things, it eliminates the ugly sticker and helps protect the surface of the bottle.

Brawler nice job on the cover, I plan to do the same thing on my cricket tact ii 60. Did you do it with the bottle off the gun and what size wrap did you use if I may ask. I did not see in your original post that it was a add on different bottle, I thought that the gun came that way, so my original post it would have been worded differently sorry for my miss understanding.

I had a Motorcycle helmet that had WWII bomber nose art on it, it was very cool helmet, got lots of compliments,
the sticker is not a sticker.... it's silk screened before the clear coat was put on,
and Brawler, nice job on the Wrap, looks good, now you're going to have to open a Tank Wrapping Business, " Brawler's Tank Wraps" " Hide the Crap with a Wrap".....(y)

Yeah I should have specified but I also didn't want it to be a knock on JB it is what it is and I get it as other companies do it.
