Can tourists buy airguns in the US?

Hello friends,

I'm a very keen airgun shooter in the UK, but after watching some of the RMAC stuff on YouTube I'd really like to tick that off the bucket list...

The problem being all my guns are 12ft/lbs and not really suitable for that kind of shooting.

Would I be able to, as a tourist land in America, buy an airgun and compete with it at RMAC?

It begs the question on what I would do with it after the competition but this is another issue. I'm sure I could sell it while I'm out there, I might take a bit of a hit but it's part of the trip after all.

I think I could, I'd have to look into it.

I'd need to turn it down to our power level (12ft/lbs) and if I'm buying a .30 or something then that's kind of pointless unless I also buy a .177 liner maybe?

I am betting Utah Airguns would sell and configure a rifle for you with a guaranteed buy back value they could then resell used for more profit.

When I visited Scotland in my younger years I did the exact same thing for a bicycle in St. Andrews. Fortunately mine was a 6 month stay, and prices skyrocketed so much the store owner upped the buy back value and resold it the same day.

I'm betting if you wanted to come out to EBR or RMAC, just post up what kind of rifle you wanted to shoot and someone who was going to the match would loan you a rifle for the event ..

Many of us who attend RMAC or EBR bring an extra pcp as a backup. I'm sure one of us could loan you a pcp for these big events. I have too many right now I could loan you and most are capable of making the finals.

a similar scheißing in Canada with bulpups. I have all the licenses but these guns are not approved by the lawmakers, only the FX Impact and the Leshiy2 could make it to a list.
