Cannot make a classifieds post?

Hello I now have more than 10 posts and I still can't seem to be able to make a classifieds post? Can somone please tell me what im doing wrong? What are my insufficient privileges? I really want to make a post to search for a pistol ive been eyeing.

Does anyone know how long the grace period is? One of the main reasons I joined the forum was to be able to use the classifieds. I read all the rules on how to use them and how to avoid scammers etc. I do some buisness in other online areas selling and buying art and just wanted to be upfront. Hopefully I can post soon and begin my search.

First you need to stop sneaking your wtb ad into every post or you may not get approved. I recommend you edit that out of both posts.

I mean im just being honest I guess I should just hide my true intention and wait is your advice? I dont see how thats any more honest but ok I guess ill remove any hint of what im looking for....like am I threat to the community because I have desire to buy something but cannot enter the proper section? Sorry I am searching for a pistol I really like? Im just being honest. Whats the problem with honesty? Even if my sole purpose to be here was to use the classifieds sections (WICH IT IS NOT) would even that be so wrong? Im just having a hard time understanding what I need to prove of myself exactly?

The rules on using the classifieds, instead of regular posts, are to protect both you and the community, not to make you "prove" yourself.

I'm not sure if the 10 posts also now has a number of days as a member or requires admin approval now with the new format.

It is nothing against you nor are you being specifically targeted.

If/when you do make a WTB classified post be wary of new users trying to get you to deal outside the forum system (i.e. I have a friend who has one. email them at such and such address.)

You will get access. You are not the first, and won't be the last, to bump into this.

I am the exact opposite. I want everything advertised. What a curse.

I wasn't trying to be hard on you it's just that many others have done the clandestine advertising thing when they didn't get classified access as fast as they thought they should have it. Whatever the process is here I'm sure it's equal for everyone and you'll be approved soon.

As d3vnull mentioned, the rules are to protect you and the community. There have no doubt been new members that have made the required “meaningful posts” with the sole intention of getting cleared for classified posting, but they “were” meaningful posts and they got admission.
I’ve been where you’re at and have used Craigslist and similar, and that’s where it rings home why AGN requires a posting requirement, nearly everything on Craigslist WTB or WTS that is of any $ value will have someone contact you from the scammer blackhole. Sad but true and a total waste of time for the person preyed on. All I can say is patience and succumb to the good advice received so far. I like instant gratification just as much as the next guy but sometimes have to go with good ol’ fashion patient waiting. Your only real alternative is the great airgun vendors that we all use for toys and supplies for our addiction.
