That particular function is for following the content of specific members. To follow a thread, look in the upper right corner of the page for that thread and you will see the black follow button. It is in between the red 'jump to latest' and 'reply' buttons. Once you press that you have your choice of getting notifications in your display only or via email. Further options are for notifications and such zre available under the settings for your profile.

When there's activity in one of your watched threads you will see a red circle with a number in it overlaid with your username at the top right of your screen.

Ok, I just needed to check a few boxes to get email updates, but is there anywhere I can just look at what I'm following?
And is watching the same as following? I cant seem to complete my profile.

Yes, click the little arrow just to the right of "FORUMS" at the top left. Then choose from the menu. (y)

Yes, afaik, following is the same as watching. Of course, I could be wrong on that... ;)

p.s.

I have already suggested to Michael that the little arrow needs to be made more evident that it is a separate menu from the FORUMS link.

Haven't heard a thing back...

Oh well, if I figured it out... (chuckle)

Nice, thanks.
I just figured the little arrow would show a drop down of the different forums, not some whole new menu. 🙃
Perhaps it would be better if the little arrow was a "roll over" drop down menu that doesn't require clicking and showed the drop-down by simply rolling over it with the cursor.

However, I ONLY access the internet with a "desktop" computer and FF. So, smart-phone people might experience it differently.

My phone is a "flip-phone". It is all I need.
