I damaged a new Regal but pad while trying to install a metal sling mount (the nice one seen on eBay, except it's not a perfect match). I contacted Daystate and asked how I could purchase a replacement pad, and was pretty miffed at their response:
Hello,
I am sorry but we do not have any spare butt pads available.
The stock and butt pad come to us as a complete unit.
The only Butt pads that we have available are the rubber ones (as used on the Air Wolf), while you are welcome to purchase one please note that as they were not made for the regal they would need to filed down in order to fit, and in all honesty do not look fantastic when filed down.
You may be able to source one online second had somewhere.
And my response:
Now that's just not acceptable!
How hard is it for you to ask of your source to please provide an additional butt pad? I've invested a considerable sum into Daystate products and would be GREATLY disappointed if you could not, at the very least, check with your source.
It should be very easy for you to do this!
