Carbon bottle that takes regular paintball reg?

Most of the compact CF tanks I've seen are 54 - 62mm diameter (2.13" - 2.44") and threaded for a metric regulator (M18 x 1.5).

The typical 13ci paintball tank is 51mm diameter (2.0") and threaded 5/8" - 18.

I recently ran across the following First Strike brand bottle. They say "This air system is compatible with all common 13ci Air in Stocks available on the market today" and they list the diameter as 2 inches.

I don't see where they give the thread size but they have a picture of the bare regulator here
Scaling the bottle threads against the known diameter of the ASA threads, it appears to be the desired 0.62" diameter, meaning 5/8" - 18 like a Ninja, Tippmann, etc.. Definitely not M18 (0.71").

ANSgear has it listed for $120 at the moment.

Great find! There is one review that said taking the regulator out of the bottle was nigh impossible. Let nda want to just take the chance on one.

Yeah that seems par for the course with most bottles...heavy application of threadlocker. Pretty annoying and unnecessary for the most part. So far I’ve had good success using strap wrenches. Clamp the bonnet in a vise, then wrap a turn of electrical tape around the bottle to give the strap wrench something more to grip. Then go at it. On the most stubborn ones I’ve used two strap wrenches.

I've one of the First Strike 15ci/4500 psi bottles. Try to find one without the reg, as the one that comes with the bottle is only 800 psi output. I used heat from a butane torch, a vise, AND a strap wrench to remove the stock reg.

This is the first 2", 4500 psi bottle I was able to find, it's what I used on my 2250 Cothran/Stace bottle gun -
