Carette II Compressor Issues

You need to call Joe Brancato at Topgunairguns as he is the exclusive and only factory authorized reseller in the USA for this compressor. I am certain he can provide you with not only detailed specifics but how many have been sold and references perhaps that you can contact. He has it on sale now for under $2k and may even have an extended warranty fob Huntington,CA. I personally own a Tuxing and don't mind the water cooling hassle but I only fill guns not bottles so mine runs perhaps 5 min to get to 4500 psi. If I was a bottle filler my compressor of choice would be an Alkin W31. Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for your respons. I am interested in topping off bottles. The Alkin is not a fair comparison, it’s almost twice the price. I have watched Joe’s video presentation. I was hoping to get some unbiased options. The crankcase on the Carette looks a lot like a Tuxing. I wonder who actually manufacturers it? I would prefer to buy something that is not made in China.

If you are looking to spend 2k on a compressor, call James Shelden and see if he still has the one I mentioned in this thread a couple weeks ago. For essentially the same money you will have a lifetime compressor, 220V if that matters. My smaller one from Shelden is 220 and I just put the correct plug on it to run off the dryer outlet. https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/shelden-sporting-goods.1280342/

Thanks for the suggestion, but that seems like a 2K crap shoot.

Brian at Veradium Air has experience with the Carette V 33 compressor. After I discussed the Carette V 33 with Brian I was thinking of buying one. I called up the dealer in California and was quoted $2000 for compressor & $ 400. for shipping to Oklahoma. At the time the Carette V 33 was listed on Aliexpress for around $1400 plus $300 ( aprox.} for shipping from China. So approx $2400 from Calif. dealer & approx $ 1700 plus custom fees for a V 33 from China. Warrenty is for one year from Calif. dealer and would have to be shipped to Calif. So I bought a Tuxing Dive Compressor [ a Coltri clone] through Amazon delivered To Texas for approx. $2100. I asked Brian at Veradium air to check it out and he said it was well designed and comparable to the Carette V 33. Both are air cooled. I have filled 5 - 60 min Carbon fiber tanks at 33-35 min. with purging condensate every 5 min. db

That's where a Bauer is nice. You don't have to go to the only one in the country.

Can't afford new ? Shop for a preowned. Just research to find out what you maybe getting into beforehand. Or even take ot to a distributor to find out the condition and whether it is worth it or not.

As my relationship with Vevor and Walmart continues to grow, I would say go ahead and buy a Vevor.

But first you need to test your willingness to make such a purchase. Go to the bank and get $250 cash.
Go home and in a well ventilated area set fire to your cash and watch it burn. If you are ok with that, go ahead and order a Vevor.

The Carrette II was not built exclusivly for Mr.Brancato, (he is dreaming on that one) Veradium Air spent a few months doing engineering testing for the factory on the carrette II, It is a decent compressor, our gripe the factory pretty much screwed over a few of us dealers in the US. We put in the time and work, we were informed we would be dealers, then the factory decided that JB would be the only dealer in USA. Said good bye and never looked back.
The Tuxing 2 stage full setup or the 4 stage air cooled very good compressors. I have 161 hours on my water cooled 032 with oinly a gasket change and rings at 60 hrs. It is the original 032 we did the first review quite a while back. The 4 stage is very nice, quiet, operates very well in humid environments.

I am not sure what Joe B's motivation is, but to refuse to help out an owner of the Carrette because he did not buy it from him AND proclaim your company had input into the Carrette 2 to improve it's design which leads to your exclusive USA representation, you may be a engineer and scientist but deplorable when dealing with customers.

I believe I read in older posts about all the time and effort Veradium put into the Beta testing and improvement suggestions for the Carrette 2. I was shocked you are not an authorized reseller and repair house. I know Tuxing makes a very similar model to the Carrette 2.

Keep up the good work with Tuxing product. While it certainly has needed room for improvement they appear to be a much better customer responsive manufacturer than the myriad of manufacturers in China for PCP products.

Well sorry to say but the Carette 2 is made in China. But Joe B says they designed it exclusively for them so that could mean a whole host of things. If you want USA you will pay more than 2k. Sorry, did not mean to rhyme 😬
I watched some of the video in the Carette and it's made by Tuxing, I'll put money on it. Far too many parts look like Tuxing. As for water cooling, my 032 has been fine...so far....except for the Electronics failing in 40 min, it works well and runs down right cold.
