Does anyone have any feedback on this compressor? I like that it is air cooled and does not have the potential problems associated with a water cooled unit.
Thanks for your respons. I am interested in topping off bottles. The Alkin is not a fair comparison, it’s almost twice the price. I have watched Joe’s video presentation. I was hoping to get some unbiased options. The crankcase on the Carette looks a lot like a Tuxing. I wonder who actually manufacturers it? I would prefer to buy something that is not made in China. You need to call Joe Brancato at Topgunairguns as he is the exclusive and only factory authorized reseller in the USA for this compressor. I am certain he can provide you with not only detailed specifics but how many have been sold and references perhaps that you can contact. He has it on sale now for under $2k and may even have an extended warranty fob Huntington,CA. I personally own a Tuxing and don't mind the water cooling hassle but I only fill guns not bottles so mine runs perhaps 5 min to get to 4500 psi. If I was a bottle filler my compressor of choice would be an Alkin W31. Good luck with your decision.
Thanks for the suggestion, but that seems like a 2K crap shoot. If you are looking to spend 2k on a compressor, call James Shelden and see if he still has the one I mentioned in this thread a couple weeks ago. For essentially the same money you will have a lifetime compressor, 220V if that matters. My smaller one from Shelden is 220 and I just put the correct plug on it to run off the dryer outlet. https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/shelden-sporting-goods.1280342/
I watched some of the video in the Carette and it's made by Tuxing, I'll put money on it. Far too many parts look like Tuxing. As for water cooling, my 032 has been fine...so far....except for the Electronics failing in 40 min, it works well and runs down right cold.Well sorry to say but the Carette 2 is made in China. But Joe B says they designed it exclusively for them so that could mean a whole host of things. If you want USA you will pay more than 2k. Sorry, did not mean to rhyme

Where is the Alkin made? This is not verified.
ALKIN has been manufacturing high pressure air compressors since 1990. Production activities take place in Izmir Turkey and New Jersey.
All of the Alkins are manufactured in Turkey. There may be some assembly in the U.S. but they are all designed and manufactured in Turkey.Where is the Alkin made?
