I read somewhere (don't think it was here) that a 12v power supply failure would cause the water pump to stop and the high temperature protection will not work. I look at mine and found this to be true. The water pump and the over temperature protection are on the 12v circuit. I had some relays I had ordered for a motorcycle application so I wired the relay coil to the 12v from power supply and the NO contacts to the interlock circuit of the compressor. Now if the 12v fails the compressor will turn off. Remember if you decide to do this safety first 120 volt current will kill you just as dead as 120,000 volt current.
P.S. I am testing a temperature controller that will do the job of the relay plus offer another over temperature circuit.
