Carrying your Buddy Bottle

Anyone seen a Buddy bottle rack of sorts? It would be good to fit my 60 min Carbon fiber bottle. I was thinking of designing on that has some storage space, light weight, keeps that bottle oriented in the horizontal position. Maybe Vertical would be better. Have to look at that. maybe a small slidding drawer for storage or a tray on top. Maybe a pair of nylon straps to carry the unit. rubber feet on the bottom to take that wear and tear of setting it down.
Let me know what you have used or seen used so im not wasting time on something that has a great solution already..

This depends what your doing with it ? a simply wooden frame to protect it moving from place to place in your home or yard ? a cart with wheels and a rack for one or more rifles and the tank ? a used baby stroller (garage sale ) like used in Field target competitions ? most tanks are in the vertical position . does it have to fold or will it fit in your car ?

I made a little carry strap for mine out of some spare leather I had sitting around.

I'm guessing you're more interested in storage in the home rather than in-the-field carry.

Crazy high.. too much money... or at least for my blood.. thinking something upscaled or upcycled possibly or designed custom if I'm going to pay that much money...

I made a little carry/protect thing for my 45 minute bottle. It is just a rectangle big enough for the bottle with the fill set attached. It has two side to side pieces with semi circles cut out for the bottle to rest in. I used 1/2 inch cypress scraps I had on hand. Cypress is pretty soft. I have space under the bottle for targets and space at the ends for O-rings and fittings. I like it but it adds weight. I'm thinking of getting a bag which would be smaller and lighter.

@msmithers2 The title and your question are conflicting. A buddy bottle speaks to a small HPA bottle (think 90 cubic inch bottle) like paint ballers use; something backpackable that may fill an air rifle a few times afield. A 60 min SCBA tank is a full sized breathing air tank a firefighter might wear (74-100 cubic foot if I’m not mistaken) and can easily take up the majority of space in its own bag. Anyhow, methods of transporting and storing a buddy bottle and 60 min SCBA tank will vary greatly. It seems that you’re asking about transporting a larger SCBA tank.

Low Profile, very reasonably Priced or your able to make them yourself. Still need extra storage if possible Maybe a modified PVC tube as a skeletal support to the carrier. Might have to make some molds that are already designed to work as Landing pads on the bottom of the bag /Carrier. Been busy with a big job in the shop so we might be able to do the custom Prototypes and come up with a great design.. Matt Smithers

@msmithers2, this is what I made for my air bottle. It is pictured with my 45 minute SCBA but my 60 minute bottle will also fit, just a little bit snug. It's nice because you can use it in either orientation and the carry handles (ropes) really don't get in the way. I believe I put it together out of a single 8 foot 1X6. Chip.
