The November 14th CASA Heaven's Ranch field target match was held under sunny skies. Temperatures were in the high-50s at the beginning of the match and reached about 80F by the end. Winds were light, about 3-8mph. Just seven shooters attended the match.
The 52-shot course consisted of eight lanes with three targets per lane and one offhand lane that had just two targets.
Rick Rogers tied with Rob Wild in Open PCP with 44/52. Considering that Rick is recovering from a medical procedure that was quite the performance! Larry Albach led Hunter Piston(42/52) with Jeff Carmello in hot pursuit. Kelly Hawe switched from his Daystate PCPs to a new-to-him Weihrauch springer and did extremely well, scoring 43/52. Our club president, Ron Jobbes, decided to use another rifle from his stash, a beautiful Falcon FN19 in a FT stock and joined me in WFTF. Many thanks to Art Burciaga and Larry Pirrone who volunteered to help setup and run the match.
