Has anyone cast their own slugs if so what molds n how did it work in wich platform? Just something I’ve been looking into

I cast the NOE 217 30 FN-BJ5 Boat Tails with reclaimed wheel weight lead.
I tumble and weight them and shoot them with the Pinty P-Force Tactical .22 and they are among that gun's favorite ammo.

FYI... I preheat the mold in a PID controlled toaster oven to 120c and I run the 20# pot at a PID controlled 700f.
I dip pour.

I'd need to look at my notes to post specific cull weights. I'm old and have a bad case of CRS. 
I know I use the long hollow point pins.. I haven't tested the other pins.

Just remember, you have to size the slug to fit your barrel. Noe has a very inexpensive sizing setup. If I remember correctly 
I size them to.218 for my impact. What rifle are you going to shoot them from?

I cast and powder coat slugs for my Airforce platforms in .510 up to 650 grain spire Point Boat tails..I shoot out to 200 yards now and soon to 300 yards with a lil work on the new range.. Check out castbollits.com for learning about casting...

I cast for .225 for My Airforce Condors up to 55 grain in weight..There are lots of vidoes on youtube to learn to..Elvisammo channel helped me alot.. Lee reloading equipment is a good place to start..2 cavity molds like $41.00

Tony is a customer, and he's already done the homework regarding the condor. What he needs is this mold:

He has already tested the 5.55mm mould necked down to .2165. It provided the best groups with the moulds I have, but the above is better suited for his situation.
I'll acquire the .217 bushing along with this mould in time.
