Casting your own lead projectiles for 50cal PCP's like the Hammer

Can the 50 cal PCP's like the umarex hammer take regular center fire lead projectiles, like the ones you can cast yourself using a lyman or rcbs or lee bullet mold?

Or is their "50cal" a unique size of projectile and not the common .510 .511 and .512 of most other 50 cal rifles?

What about the black powder sabots for 50 cal BP rifles? Will those work in a Umarex Hammer?

$50 for 20 umarex lead slugs shipped seems ridiculous to me when I can buy 20 50BMG complete rounds with a jacketed bullet, powder, primer, case for $60

Most are 510 you should slug your barrel first..on Ebay there's always a lot of almost new .50 molds for sale.. found interesting that many are like a hollow pellets starting in the 350++grains..for now sheap to depending on the design...when I chose to buid a .257 n .224 I knew casting was the only way buying casted bullet is not worth it..$50 will buy you almost 20 pounds of lead..that should be enough for a nice few days of shooting...but 50cal as a plinking gun is a expensive deal...with a 400g bullet I shoot 8...224 --- or - 6 ....257--- or .. 3... 308 ....but for hunting I imagine there is no substitute..🔨

You can cast the bullets by your own. It's good to have 2 melting pots because you need a lot of lead for those heavy slugs.

Molds that drops .512 to .513 bullets.

Use a .510 sizer to size your castings.
