Central Florida air guns/ Temporarily closed or permanently??

I really don't care what kind of family emergency you have the least that he could do is block the page so it no longer acept orders and immediately refund to all orders you know you are not sending the items to the costumer.. me personally have never purchased from such a small vendor . Because the store looks exactly like what happened they simply left and now you are stuck..

Patience. Small business owners don't have the resources for top notch communication. You can't expect that. You can only be pleasantly surprised when you get it.

Small specialty shops are not very profitable and a lot of work. When emergency happens the business sometimes get neglected. Find out the story before jumping to conclusions.

I understand getting ripped off by a vendor and if that is what actually happened then that's not right. Neither is a bunch of backorders you can't fill. But the two aren't equal.

Small shops go out of business all the time. It's just the sad facts of life. An airgun shop has to sell a pile of air rifles to pay the rent and reap a profit. And personal emergencies always take precedent over a marginal business. So at least give the guy a chance to explain himself before sharpening the pitchforks and lighting the torches.

I agree except the man hasnt explained anything. Just left everyone to speculate. Almost a month is plenty of chance dont you think? What would be a reasonable time frame to wait for giving some kind of update?

I don't know. I'm just urging patience.

My 97 year old mom fell a couple months ago and I was busy 24 hours a day for 6 weeks. I had customers I didn't contact and that bothered the heck out of me. Some understood and some were mad as hell. I understand why they are upset. I prioritized sleep and nutrition over doing business. As a result I was called a thief and my business suffered even more.

I made the choice and suffered the consequences. But I did what I felt needed to be done. My customers did what they felt needed to be done. In the end it all got done but none of the worry on either side got it done any faster.

It's understandable to worry about it and want some answers. I'm just suggesting not to jump to any conclusions. The guy may be a thief. But he may also be taking care of family that needs him or dealing with something else.

I spent $2000 in his store. It was a good store. As for it looking like a strip club.... well! other than the big 3, I don't see air gun dealers making tons of cash. It is hard to compete when the importers are also retailers. I prefer to order from the little guy (Utah/AOA/Pyramid) makes enough money as importers. I like to support the little guy. Just use Paypal and you will be ok. It is pretty easy to prove you didn't receive the package.

My opinion is.... I don't care what the family emergency is.... in the day of cell phones, a person can MAKE the time to make a phone call. Any excuse is a cop out (unless the guy is in a coma or dead).

Your credit card is generally charged when the items ship. Not when you place the order

I've waited a few months for an air rifle but didn't see a charge on the card until the rifle was taken out of stock and a label was created.

I don't charge the customer until I ship an item. Very few retailers will actually process a payment if there is going to be a wait. If they do they should communicate that.

If your card was charged I would be suspicious. My guess is that would be a good indication whether you should get excited about it.

Most cards will offer a reversal of charges. I've been stung a couple times after a sale when a customer reversed charges and kept the merchandise. So getting your money back is probably not that hard if the payment was processed and you didn't get the shipment.

I agree. I‘ve been in the position of needing to call my credit card. They reach out to the storefront and if they don’t get a reply, they credit my card for the purchase.
