N/A CF Tank purchase advise needed! should i get the 700cc bottle plus the 6.8l tank or just the bottle and refill from car battery or maybe get 2x 700cc?

I have multiple of most everything. 3.0, 6.8 & a 9L.
My guns have bottles ranging from 0.5L to 1.1L
I keep the 6.8s and the 9L topped up for when I'm working on things at night and don't want to disturb my neighbors by running my compressor
The 3.0L are my travel rigs.
There is now a regulated fill valve so I can tether the non regulated beasties and still fill the tank to max.

I also think that if you are not hauling a gun around then put as big a bottle on the beast as will fit.

For real, buy once cry once. It's actually a net savings if you stick to your hobbies. I lived off the remnants of a paintball hobby as buddy bottles to shoot a 25 marauder along with a hand pump for years. I had no idea how much fun that was taking from the hobby. Having a bottle to "shoot now, fill later" makes the hobby so much more rewarding and makes tuning a breeze. Tuning and tinkering is where I use most of my air.

When you get it, hit me up about your power level requirements and the projectile you will use and im happy to run some numbers for you and see if a ballpark starting point can be had to use that longer barrel for peak air efficiency and less noise for you.

Yeah if you value your time it's definately a no-brainer, I'd way rather fill up a big tank at my convenience and then casually refill my guns as needed than waste my precious field time dicking around w a compressor.

& a bigger tank translates directly into less dicking around

I don't have the range at home so I don't want to waste valuable shooting time waiting for air if i can help it. Part of the troubles of higher power guns is you lose backyard fun sometimes.

I think the 6.8 L tank is the way to go. I have a cheap Chinese compressor that I use to top off the tank. It takes forever to pump up a big tank and my compressor isn’t up to that but by letting it cool and doing in stages has worked so far. Basically you’re just taking the pressure down a little in the tank with a couple fills and so far the compressor seems to be able to handle it. It’s worked a couple years so far and when it goes south I plan on buying a better one.

the 700cc bottle is my gun bottle and i need to choose a bigger tank- maybe the 6.8l or 3l to refill the 700cc bottle..

ok... the calculator says i will get only 5.4 fill from the 6.8l bottle so from the 3l i might get only 2.5 fills or so...

is that enough? i guess i will first shoot it (when my order comes) and see how is my shoot count- then i could make a better decision..

I don’t think that’s enough, that’s why I went from 3 liter skipped 6.8 and went to the 9.
I don’t have it yet but looking at the size differences to me not that extreme. I posted actual sizes in inches earlier in this topic

No you didn’t, it’s in the first sentence, however you said that you shoot all caliber let me tell you what I did,
I changed all the 480’s for 700’s, I bought a great white from Joe Broncado the biggest he has and a reputable air compressor made by coltri and a lot of pellets just IMHO.
Sorry I forgot to mentioning don’t do hunting, just target shooting from 30/200 yards in the desert so i need a lots of pellets/ slugs and the most important AIR. BE SAFE

Fwiw I carry a 92ci paintball tank buddy bottle for top offs out hunting, it's good for 1 or 2 fills on my 580cc bottle, and good for 3 or 4 full 300cc bottles at my current needs for pressure. A 66cf 45 minute scba is the bare minimum for most major use if you won't be running a compressor till you get home, and I found mine in Craigslist for 90 dollars and a hydro life of a few months left(certifications go longer for most of the world, not the usa) . My 88cf is the best ratio of convenient transport and size to fills, the 97ci is a pain in the butt to travel with but gets the best mileage.

My friend with a maverick and myself with an impact were able to target shoot all day with the 97 inch bottle. If you think you'll stick to the hobby, go big the first time and it will save you money if your experiences are anything like mine. I've learned to top off often and not deep discharge my gun if possible and it seems to give me more of the shot strings im after. Both my fx and marauder have 2 full magazines of my desires shot strings per fill. 20 on the mrod, 30 on the dreamline and around 50 on the 580cc impact.

is 88cf approximately 9l?
