N/A CF Tank purchase advise needed! should i get the 700cc bottle plus the 6.8l tank or just the bottle and refill from car battery or maybe get 2x 700cc?

ok... the calculator says i will get only 5.4 fill from the 6.8l bottle so from the 3l i might get only 2.5 fills or so...

is that enough? i guess i will first shoot it (when my order comes) and see how is my shoot count- then i could make a better decision..

Well, I guess that if you want to fill to 250bar every fill you'll get only 2 or 3 fills out of a 3L gun bottle. O
But if you make the calc for 200bar you'll get maybe 8-10 times.
I know that my bottle seems to last "forever" if I'm ok with 200bar+ per fill.

But I shoot .22 and all my PCPs make 50+ shots per fill, so my 3L bottle is good for more then 500 shots (easily). You'll have less shots per fill with a HP .30, so its up to you.

And you can alway shoot thetered with any bottle if shooting from a table or rest when the preasure reaches 250BAR.

It all comes down your gun's air requirements and shot count, when you go to the range.

If that 700cc bottle on your gun only gives you 30-40 shots and you like to shoot 300 rounds every time you go to the range, then you'll want a large tank. Pumping up the gun with a compressor every 30-40 rounds gets old real quick. Better than a hand pump though!!

But if you're shooting off a bench and are OK with tethering, then you could probably get away with a medium/small sized tank.

If you only want to shoot 60-80 rounds, then maybe two 700cc bottles would work out.

thanks for explaining.. do i need to buy different valve for the 6.8l tank to shoot tethered?

i want to shoot no more then 100 rounds.. it gets old quick so i switch between my airgun and my high power crossbows..

so i could get a second 700cc bottle but it will cost me around 220euro but the big 6.8l tank costs only 259euro so it only makes sense to get that... i think

Yeah, unless you need something small and light for hunting / hiking in the woods, you'd be better off with the bigger tank. I imagine that .30 cal goes through a lot of air.

If you're strapped for funds just get the compressor so you don't have to rely on others to fill you for a shoot. If you can afford both getting at the very least a small buddy bottle improves the quality of your experience in a way that is hard to describe.

Shoot, fill off bottle a couple times , take a break and let the compressor fill the bottle. Back to shooting for a couple fills.

The bottle you're looking at will keep you going a long time. If you happened to have an old paintball tank and wanted to switch the regulator for a fill station that's another cheap way to go (i use this for hiking around) . Having more air than you need really only grows your circle of airgun pals. BTW. 700cc is in the range that compressor is happy to deal with, but you will be waiting depending on where you set your dreamline regulator and how deep you discharge your 700cc. For me, I shoot to reg pressure(150 bar) and fill, otherwise I fill every mag for a known precision envelope my gun has.
Hi 6gun

check out what i got :ROFLMAO:

A few choices for tethering.
Fill the 6.8L only to the max your gun can use
Or
Stack regulators
Pcp regulator of gun max
Then a g1/2-14 to M18x1.5 adapter
Then the fill valve.
You can fill to 4500psi.
But the stack is tall...
Or
A regulated fill valve, of which there appears to be few.
With that just set the output to your desired pressure, 150psi to tank pressure, and hook to gun.

I have a couple and they work well so far. Easy to adjust and seem not to drift.

thanks Matt

after i fill the 6.8l tank from the compressor with its hose- which hose do i use to connect the 6.8l to my gun?

Should only be one free hose.
All of the scenarios only have one hose.
Or should. If you have more than 1 you have something wrong.

Also, the stacked (#2) option fill the tank from the bottom regulator.

I am a big fan of option #3. It is the simplest and combines #1 & #2. Your tank is max fill and your gun doesn't get over pressurized.
