So when I started shooting PCP's, I really appreciated the opportunity to work out daily by pushing that Hill pump down a number of times. I found I was having way too much fun with that so I found a used 45 minute SCBA tank with some life left, and got a fill station from Amazon for it. Works very well. What I'm thinking now is that I would like to get a small, perhaps 68ci CF tank that I would take in the field with me. The typical Ninja paintball ones I can find cheap all have the 800 psi output. What I'm wondering is if I can unscrew that regulator from the tank and replace it with one that is all set up as a filling station with a slow-release valve. I see them on eBay for ~$50. They have a M18x1.5-6H thread, that I think matches those Ninja tanks. Ninja's solution is over $200, not including tank. I can find a cheap used tank past it's prime and almost fill it from a full big tank. What do you guys think?

What do I think? It’s never easy or cheap? BUT you are not a head hunter in the Amazon rain forest with a blow gun so when you think about it’s ALL GOOD

I have an xtra air venturi 90ci cf tank 2years old. The reg was rebuilt and output is 3200ish It only needs a 5000psi burst disk that’s it, I’m just looking to trade it off if it’s anything your interested in.

My 4500 PSI tank valve uses a 6.5K burst disk... Is 5k enough to withstand temperature swings etc...???

These take a 5000psi and a 7500psi never had one blow till the other day lol. Super easy to change unscrew the old one screw in the new one very very inexpensive to purchase too

My 4500 PSI 90 C.I. Ninja tank has a 5/8-18 thread on it if that helps...

@vinny, and @ lkbagger, I don't know anything about these devices. Burst disc? Go to a chiropractor. Any resources you can point to so I can educate myself would be welcome.

Small safety device installed on the regulator... Prevents tank from blowing up, instead, small metal disc bursts and releases pressure, must be replaced if it blows...
I wrote incorrect specs earlier, my burst disk is a 7.5k PSI, my tank gets pressurized to 4500 PSI... I would not use a 5k burst disk on a 4500PSI charged tank, a 5k burst disk is what is installed on a paintball tank, only charged to 3k PSI...

Before ordering a regulator be sure of the thread size of the tank for compatibility. M18 x 1.5 is common on Chinese SCBA tanks and valves. It is not the same nor interchangeable with a 5/8-18 thread as on blkbaggers 90ci tank. Be sure what your tank thread pitch actually is before ordering a regulator or adapter for it. Metric thread and NPT thread pitches won't fit or seal together.
