Changed TX

I could not find a hunter carbine so I bought a standard tx and made a hunter carbine out of it. It was easy to do I cut the shroud off at the end of the barrel so there is no more baffles in the barrel,The sound seems the same to me but my ears are not that good anymore.lol. I also made a cocking aid on my lathe for it a slip on fit with loctite and its on their solid.
The rifle seemed muzzle heavy compared to my pro sport and now it feels like my pro sport and like it much better, it still shoots the same very accurate and gets better all the time I now have about 1000 pellets through it. Steve!

Genius....why didn't I think of that.
Got any detailed dimensions or approximation? cut length was X inches? ...Or maybe give us the current barrel length measurement.
I assumed you also cut the cocking arm and drilled and tap a new hole for the ball bearing cocking arm retainer.
Did you cut shroud on a lathe or ? Ive got a MKIII I wouldnt mind doing that to.
Hi guys I first pulled the endcap off and pulled out the rubber baffles and measured down inside the shroud to the end of the barrel and cut it just shy of the end of the barrel with a hacksaw.
It would not fit in my lathe and I did not want to pull the barrel off to do that. The barrel was quite rough machine marks on the end of the barrel so just carefully filed it down to a smooth finish, the crown was ok.
I installed the end block first and then cut the cocking lever down bit at a time on my lathe till I got the perfect fit of the ball and then loctite it back on.
