Changes to the stable coming

Well due to a change in NH hunting regulations for hunting small game, ie squirrels and rabbits, with an air rifle you need at a minimum 22 cal shooting a minimum of 12 fpe. I did have a 22 cal in the works but it delayed do to back order, 22 cal RTI Prophet Performance II. So one of the current herd needed to be changed, but I wanted to still have a backpackable gun and I only have one choice, my 177 Ranger XR aka Spector. So with a call to AOA they are trading me (crediting me) the 177 for a 22 cal version. I shipped the 177 ranger today to AOA and the 22 is paid for and coming this way in a couple of days. Spector I was is a very accurate gun and I hope she finds a good home.

I think for certain species they don’t care, but I want to go for rabbits, cotton tails and squirrels in the woods. On the dairy the invasives I have been shooting it is okay for the 177, they are pests.

@peebrainz, you are right I was mistaken, but still, I want to be with the law. Idaho now requires or will require 30 cal for turkeys, I hope to go out this year but I will need the prophet II for that.

I'm assuming that mice, rats and Rock Tigers all fall under the rodent category. I couldn't find anything about a license requirement for hunting non-game species, best to call or email the NH F&G to be sure.
