Cheap,Easy target !!!.... Southern Style

Not my idea. I've seen this all over the web. But it is very effective.


1 5-gallon bucket with lid
1 bag .8 cubic foot of rubber mulch
Some cardboard
Some beer
And a rifle.


About $12 (not including beer and rifle).

Fill bucket with tire mulch
Put a couple of pieces of cardboard on top.
Cut square out of lid.
Place lid on bucket.
Tape target on lid.
Grab a beer.
Grab a rifle.

Note: Cardboard is only used to keep mulch from falling out. Just replace cardboard as needed.

Yep, was going to Home depot to buy some wood to build it another way. Seen the buckets at the entrance and remember seeing these used as well. So I got the bucket for simplicity.

I have been duct taping up boxes. That looks a lot easier.
