Cheap first pump. come on everybody’s done it

After buying my first pellet gun to deter the squirrels which was a maligned Umarex synergis elite. I did find it fantastic and did meet all of my needs for my yard . It did pique my interest in the whole pellet gun thing which led me to a Reximex rpa after seeing it on YouTube. So I got a hand pump . Oookayy I’m 68 and beat up from a lineman’s carear and motorcycle racing ( road, crashed many times 3 concussions 10 broken bones)
Read All the posts about buying a good one, sorry going cheap first. Get a Amaxon $200 one . So far it works.
Reading more I thought I needed water filtration so bought ( picture) this from Amadon . My troubles begin…

So far have only used with my new Daystate revere in which I’m trying to install a regulator. When I release the pressure from the valve on the gold thing it doesn’t relieve the pressure on the guns fill valve and bleeds back. did buy a 60 inch hose to I thought make filling easier. Seems like the combination isn’t quick enough to shut the fill valve and it leaks that precious air I just took minutes to fill.

hey there lineman,, are you popping the bleed valve open FAST? to help seat the check in the fill port

I started w/a handpump and I keep two at all times . The first economy compressor last 2yr.s. I then got a RovAir , which did'nt go but a year &1/2. And it never left the AC in the basement ! Awaiting repairs on it, never got a response from AV . Now have a GX4 w/ separate inverter , doubt I'll ever get anything else. I take a handpump to the field to top off unless I shoot down too far , then it's home to the GX4.

Odd that the valve doesn’t seat quickly on the gun. I’ve never had an issue with my setup. Same as yours but using a yong heng. Yes, the valve in the water desert or is slow, but the gun should close when any pressure difference is present. Wonder if your revere has a sticky fill valve. Put a couple drops of silicone oil in the holes of the probe before filling the gun. See if it helps free it up a little.

Maybe add a shut off valve and a bleeder at the far end. It obviously adds some bulk at the end of the line (and co$t) but it could solve the problem.
Why the long line? Convenience?
Yeah the long line is for if I have to fill at the range with compressor hooked to truck battery. I think the shut off valve will work . I’ll find the parts on amzon now.
