•For some it's their home.
•For others it's their vehicle (think German engineering).
•For others it's their watch (think Rolex).
•And well, for us here, it's often airguns.
Reading a lot of posts on this particular forum kind of pushes you in that direction. Other forums not so much.

● LENS 1:
We can see our airguns as purely tools for a job.
And as several posters have suggested, for shooting pellets 50y and under in non-competitions lower priced guns will do mostly just fine.
● LENS 2:
We can see our airguns as decorative tools — because we like nice things (well, nice guns more than nice curtains) and we like to shoot. So we combine the two.
A lot of car purchases by men probably are of this type.
● LENS 3:
We can see our airguns as status symbols.
Yeah, there are some that do. I particularly think of a guy on a WhatsApp chatgroup for airgunners — he keeps posting pics of his very expensive setups, with no comments, for no apparent reason other that to show off what he has. And that he can afford it.

And seeing through the second lens again will save you again a cool $500-$1000 over lens 3.
Just my 2c....
