Cheaper bullpup options other than the FX Impact M4 Compact in .22?

I'm new to high end airguns. I've been around ariguns since I was a kid, but just Crossman, Daisy, etc. The FX Impact M4 Compact looks like a perfect match to what I want. (Walking around backyard taking rabbits.) The only issue with it is the price.

Does anyone make a comparable bullpup that is a lot cheaper than the FX in .22 or does one have to suck it up and pay the price for an FX if you want the total package?

My wants...

power
accuracy
reliability
low weight
compact
quality build

Thanks!

You...could...your own searching ! There's only a small few good shops to look at the various guns that might suit...your liking ! Many shops that sell the same lineup of guns, but Airguns of Arizona, and Utah Airguns are the main two. Other shops may have different pricing.

Other than weight, you’re describing a Taipan Veteran 1 shorty. They are extremely well made, absolutely trouble free, powerful, as accurate as anything made, and did I mention a trigger to die for. They are getting harder to find and I will never get rid of mine. I would put a want to buy on the classifieds and see what comes up.

Don't forget the Huben K1, checks all your boxes and then some, Plus you get the fun factor of semi auto
You can generally pick one up in the classifieds here pretty cheap or give Kelly a call over Krazcool Airguns
Great dude, excellent support, based in the USA and has ALL of the parts in stock in the rare case you might need any
I was going to add it but he said compact. And after putting a mod that gun is atleast 37" long

And you guys haven't even begun to bring up the lower end stuff, much of which are still pretty good. Not really comparable to an FX Impact, but they are "a lot cheaper".

Avenger Bullpup, Akela, Beeman Underlever, etc... There are probably over a dozen bullpups for under $500 these days and at 25 yards many of them will go toe to toe with an FX. It's when you get out to 50 or 100 yards where they can't hang with the pricey guns anymore.

I didn’t notice possible headaches, frustrations, or never being satisfied in your list of wants. So these guys gave you a pretty good list of guns that don’t start with a F. You definitely don’t need to spend over 2k to walk around your yard popping rabbits. Some real good guns mentioned here that will let you enjoy shooting and not constantly playing around with it.

Thanks for all the ideas! I never heard of many of these guns. The problem with searching is you don't know if you will buy a dog. I'd rather get personal recommendations to avoid a problem. The Taipan sounds great. Too bad a lot of these guns are so hard to get. Why don't they import more of them?

Does anyone in the USA make great airguns?

There are a few US Made guns, but they are High-End Competition guns, Thomas Air, AAA (American Air Arms) and Skout to name a few

I think that you should be a guinea pig for us and pick up a Reximex Throne Gen2 Compact from Pyramyd Air. $900 if you can use the PYRAMYD-NRA coupon code. Who knows - maybe PA will have a better coupons which apply to these guns soon, as we approach Black Friday sales.

You know that you will always get good after-sale support through Pyramyd.

Talon tunes has a few remaining. The taipan is an old gun, but they remain true. They don't make them anymore because the vet 2 is out.
